Great if you're just starting out
This is an awesome video to start with if you're just starting to get in shape. It's fun and easy to do and keeps you from getting bored.
Eventually I started using it for a warm-up before a more intense work-out or on days I just didn't have time for anything else. It never really made me work up a sweat but it was a good way to get my heart going before starting something else.
It's a great video if you're just getting going.
Lots of fun for a closet dancer
I'm a mother of two in my 40's and the only dancing I've done is in my own mind or maybe trying to imitate a step in the mirror (by myself of course). I am pretty uncoordinated but have always wanted to try those dance steps like you see in music videos. I bought this dvd after reading the reviews and thought 'what the heck, I can try it and no one will ever know'.
I just tried the first segment and even though I couldn't keep up with the gals, it was a lot of fun. I concentrated on just trying to learn one step and let the rest of the routine run by while I just marched in place.
I was a little apprehensive to try this exercise tape. I wear a Donjoy functional knee brace for a complete ACL tear that happened over 15 years ago (did not do reconstructive surgery). I am cautious with physical activity and exercise and keep within conservative limits. I'll probably never be able to work out at the intensity of the people on the tape, but that's ok. It was a little awkward with the brace, but not too bad.
When I was shopping for a dance/hip hop type of tape, I wasn't sure what to look for. The words 'hip hop' made me think of the young 'uns that spin around on their head and stuff. I was able to see a video clip of this one on collagevideo.com and that's what made me buy it. The moves and style was just what I was looking for.
I haven't viewed the entire tape yet but so far, I would recommend buying it for a fun way to work out and to learn some of those cool dance moves!
This is fun for people wanting new moves...
If you want to learn some hip hop moves or add some moves to the ones you already have. Or you just want to have fun losing weight. I really do like this video. Its a fun workout. Although it didnt seem to really do anything. I hardly busted a sweat. For anyone looking for a REALLY easy workout this is it. The only thing that is slightly difficult in this video is the jump crossover kick and punch thingy. Thats the one part that I had to practice a few times to get it down right.
