Violence might be one of the problems that you might encounter if you are planning to watch The Hunger Games online. This fact might be a bit obvious even from the title. Personally, when I first read the title, it sounded like a death match to me. True enough, when I read about the film, I found out that it is a battle to the death. Also, people who are going to watch The Hunger Games online should take care of their children. It might not be suitable for very young audiences.

I am willing to watch The Hunger Games online because the movie is based on a best-selling book. I am a fan of movies which came from books. Basically, my opinion on them is that books would never be made into movies unless they are good. So far, this opinion has proven me right. Examples of excellent books which were turned into movies are Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. When I decided to watch The Hunger Games online, I have also decided to get a copy of the book and read it before I watch the movie.

A lot of articles were written about the movie, The Hunger Games. These articles are mostly praises about the way it was written. The way the book was in first person, the events were described in the perspective of the protagonist. On the side of the book, a lot of people react on how violent it is but owing on the target market, reviews still geared towards the direction of approval.

About the cast, it was mentioned that a lot of people tried out for parts in this movie. Apparently, they auditioned by reading lines with Gary Ross. Gary Ross narrowed it down until he finally has a cast of fresh talents and new faces. Since most of the characters in the book are young, it was not difficult to get young people to audition. After seeing the cast, I got to wondering as to whom among them are going to get eliminated first. Very morbid, but that is actually how the movie is going to progress so I might just as well accept it.

For those people who like me, are at lost when it comes to the plot of the movie, The Hunger Games is actually set in the future. In this future, the area which was formerly Northern America is governed by people who reside in the Capital. This head government requires the 12 districts to send boys or girls from their district to act as tribunes in this Hunger Games. It is a kill or be killed scenario.
