Looking at movies these days, they don’t seem to carry the amount of substance and resonance that many of the previous decades’ classics possess.  Maybe it’s just a generational thing, but none of the movies, save for those directed by Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese or even Paul Thomas Anderson, seem to be instant classics.  Things are so shallowly put on the big screen these days, mainly consisting of flashy visuals and empty emotional or even intellectual context.  Sadly, this is something that will continue for quite some time, as long as people keep paying money to see them.  What’s even sadder is the fact that some of the actors we’ve come to recognize for their immesnse talents have gone down this path as well.  Where else can you big screen heavyweights such as Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams get together?  In a film that’s dubbed as a romantic comedy directed by a relative newcomer.  This film is about to be released this upcoming November 9th, and you can only hope that it’ll be a good one, although the trailer suggests nothing that’s even remotely funny about it.  We’ll have to wait and see just to Watch The Big Wedding Online.
