The film is about a former athlete who has a lot of making up to do. He is somehow not happy with the way his athletic career turned out. Also, he seems to have lost a lot of chances to bond with his son. Now, an opportunity presented itself to him. He can make up with the lost bonding time with his son and also somehow lose some of the frustrations that he had about his athletic career by being the coach of his son’s school soccer team.

However, being the coach of this soccer team did not come without consequences. One of them is his being famous. Not only to the soccer crowd but also to the moms of the kids he is coaching. In the movie, it is to be revealed that a couple of soccer moms are trying to catch the coach’s attention. Not a lot is revealed about the story yet. However, it was mentioned that the coach is having a hard time coping with his divorce with his wife who is now about to remarry. It was also mentioned that among the soccer moms who are fighting for his attention, there are two who actually stood out. The first one is Uma Thurman’s character and the other one is Jessica Biel’s character.

The film took a little time to make. It was announced that Gerard Butler is going to play the lead role last February 23, 2011. After that, the other members of the cast were called. The filming started in the week of April 5 that year. This new film was directed by Gabriele Mucho. This is the same director who directed The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds.
