Ice Age is a film franchise of Blue Sky Studio which is a division of 20th Century Fox. The series follows the adventure of the three main characters and the friends that they meet along the way. Oh, by the way, it also follows the misadventures of Scrat as he runs after his nut. In the first movie, Manny, the mammoth who is moving north meets Sid, the over talkative sloth. While on their way, they saw a little child who was a victim of a sabre-toothed tiger attack. Their main mission in this part is to save the baby and bring him back to the group of humans. They were joined by Diego in this journey.

The second movie which was titled Ice Age: The Melt Down showed the trio trying to escape a painful death by drowning. The film started by showing the trio already settled in a plain surrounded by a wall. But then, they found out that the wall of ice that surrounds them is already melting and that behind it is a whole reservoir of water. They would try to escape the catastrophe and along the way meet Ellie. Ellie is actually a mammoth who thinks that she is a possum. Manny and Ellie, of course became an item.

Then, here comes the Third installment showed that Manny and Ellie are already expecting kids. Diego’s issues came out because he felt that he is starting to become a house cat. Sid on the other hand is jealous of the family that Manny is about to have and therefore stole dinosaur eggs. There started the adventure with the guys trying to dodge dinosaurs.

This last film is expected to be released to the big screen on the 13th of July next year. This fourth film is going to be available on 3D.
