That particular scene got very negative feedback from representatives of the leper community. They mentioned that the scene made fun of the disease and that it reinforces the prejudice that people have against lepers. After getting this reaction, Aardman responded that the scene is to be amended and that the last thing that the movie wants to do is to offend anyone.
